From theory to action: how to effectively implement a digital strategy with the TIMAF training

Digital transformation is not just about technology. It is a strategic challenge that requires a clear vision, a clear roadmap and – above all – the ability to actually follow that roadmap. Yet in practice, we see that many organisations get bogged down in theory. Strategies are devised, but remain stuck in PowerPoint presentations or in the minds of a small team. The real challenge? Implementing the strategy, measuring its progress and continuously improving it.

In our new training course Strategy in Digital Transformation, we teach participants not only what a digital strategy is, but above all how to translate it into concrete action. After all, a strategy is only valuable if it is embraced throughout the organisation – and delivers tangible results.
Why digital strategies often fail
We know from experience that digital transformations fail due to three common pitfalls:
Lack of feasibility – Strategies are often too vague or too ambitious, without clear steps to implement them. As a result, they remain mere words, without any impact.
No connection to practice – Employees do not know how they contribute to the digital goals, because the strategy has not been translated into their day-to-day work.
No measurable results – Without KPIs and feedback loops, it is impossible to make adjustments or measure success. This leaves it unclear whether the strategy is working – or whether adjustments are needed.
In my previous blog post Digital transformation without a strategy? It’s bound to fail, I explore the importance of a coherent digital strategy in more detail. But how do you ensure that this strategy is actually put into practice?
From strategy to action: here’s how
In the TIMAF training course Strategy in Digital Transformation, participants learn a practical approach to not only devising digital strategies, but also implementing them. These are the keys to success:
1. A clear, actionable strategy
We don’t start with technology, but with goals. What do you want to achieve? Which pain points are you solving? And how do you measure success? Using our methods (such as the digital strategy game), we help you develop a strategy that is concrete, measurable and achievable.
2. Putting it into practice
A strategy only works if everyone in the organisation knows what is expected of them. In the training, we’ll teach you how to communicate, share and translate the strategy into action plans for teams and individuals. This ensures that digital transformation isn’t just an IT department project, but a joint effort.
3. Metrics and feedback loops
A strategy is never finished. In the training, we focus on KPIs, monitoring and continuous improvement. This way, you’ll learn not only to implement a strategy, but also to adjust it based on results and feedback. As I described earlier in From strategy to action: use AI to devise and implement ideas.
Why this training is different
Many training courses on digital transformation get bogged down in theory or technical detail. Our training course Strategy in Digital Transformation goes further:
Strategists and managers responsible for digital initiatives.
IT leaders who want to bridge the gap between technology and organisational goals.
Communication and information professionals who want to learn how to make the most of digital technologies to ensure the strategy succeeds.
Project leaders and change managers who oversee digital change processes.
Anyone involved in the implementation of digital strategies who is truly committed to making them a success.
Ready to move from theory to action?
Digital transformation only works if you link strategy and execution. In our training course Strategy in Digital Transformation, we give you the tools, knowledge and skills to make this happen.
