One of the things TIMAF would like to achieve, is setting-up a non-arbitrary classification method for information management systems.

We think CMSML (Content Management Systems Markup Language), a standard for describing and classifying content management systems, could be a good starting point. It’s already expanded with the classification of document management, records management, information retrieval and workflow management.
